That One Step to celebrate Birthdays with Self Love and Gratitude

Birthdays calls for Self Love and Gratitude. And yep, I love cheese cake so I put it there. Photo by Gianna Ciaramello on Unsplash.

How do you feel about your own birthday?

I used to believe Birthdays is just a typical day. The only  difference is that a person is born on that certain day.

Being the Introvert that I am, I used to feel awkward about getting too much attention to myself especially when I get birthday greetings. I’m weird like that I know.

Deep down I felt like I wasn’t worthy and that I’m nothing special.

I thought having attention to myself would take away from others.

Well, fast forward to this year, thank heavens something shifted within me. It had everything to do with being a mom.

With all the chores and caring for family, I kind of lost who I am. The exhaustion left me feeling empty, trapped, sad and angry.

I decided to go on a self development journey. Ever since then I finally learned to love, care, accept, honor and respect myself.

I realized how important Birthdays are most especially my own. It is a celebration of life.  It is gratitude for myself and for all that I’ve been through.

Birthday food and gifts wouldn’t matter to me if people aren’t as nice and respectful every day.

Hey, a tired mom needs kindness too you know.  I value kindness, respect, love, support, generosity and encouragement more than these things.

So I fully celebrated my birthday this 2018! Since my birthday falls under the same date as the National Disc Jockey day, I played Hanson music all day while I reminisced my blissful  journey.

Come join me on my trip down memory lane.

All these years I have become a:

1.Reader.

My kind of paradise. Photo by Michael D Beckwith on Unsplash

As a child, I’ve always looked at the world with wonder and curiosity. I had my head looking up at the clouds.

I’d stare at the glimmering moon and stars. I’m fascinated by the feel of cold water. I wondered how things happen and why.

I’d be mostly by myself having such wandering thoughts and amazement. My fascination about life got higher especially when I learned how to read when I became 5 years old.

So I became a bookworm – I read science books, story books and had fun with coloring books.

The library and bookstores are paradise to me.

2.Poet. I wrote my first poetry about a clock when I was 12 years old. It had rhymes in 2 verses.

I published my first poetry book online last year. It was one of the highlights of successes I had!

Just the feeling of publishing it is so blissfully fulfilling for me. My very first masterpiece brought to life.

3.Tourist.

Traveling is always a beautiful experience. I started travelling at 12 years old.

Dad took us on a tour to Indonesia, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. We had business class flights and a master suite.

Indonesia is almost like home because the climate was similar. It has rich and colorful sculptures.

Australia has awesome ambiance and wildlife. People were very friendly, the weather’s great. I love the Kangaroos and Koalas.

Singapore is soooo unbelievably clean! I find the Merlion interesting.

Hong Kong seems like a busy place. It has great shopping malls. Mom tagged me along to America when I graduated High School.

We stayed at my aunt in Los Angeles for a month. It’s cold! We visited Disneyland, Universal Studios, Queen Mary, Las Vegas and Arizona. I fell in love with their Cheesecake and pizza.

4.Hanson Fan.

It was love at first sight! – especially Taylor Hanson. I came across Hanson’s first music video “MMmbop.”

They sound really good and I couldn’t get enough of their songs. My bedroom walls were plastered with posters of them.

I had their albums on cd and cassette tapes. I would listen to them all day. I’d watch my Hanson video every birthday I had. It always completed my day.

5. Soprano 1.

I auditioned to be part of our chorale in College. The vocal trainor classified my voice as Soprano 1.

Been singing the high note melodies along with fellow Sopranos, Tenors and Altos.

We had our concert when I lost my voice for a while.0_o’  As the curtains raised, my voice came back. I was able to sing.

6.Writer.

I started keeping a journal at 17. I’d pour my heart and soul in it. I wrote more than I could speak.

I’d use some sort of an ambiguous or ambivalent words. So I’d be the only one who’d know what it meant. Writing always made me feel better.

I  kept my first blog at 19. It was called “Soul of Irony and Bliss.” It was like an online journal with mysterious poetic writing style into it.

I wrote about love. I wrote movie reviews about “Hurtlocker,” “Sweet November” and the “Lake House.”

I became a News Writer for our College School paper at 18. I tried out as a News writer for our College journal and got in!

I was so happy. It was my first time to see my work published.

I climbed up the Editorial Ladder and became a Features writer. I learned to write in Features style.Since I had to interview people, it helped me overcome my shyness.

The best part of being part of the Editorial Board is to have my own column or section where I write my opinion as an article. My column was called Spotlight.

A year after, I stepped up as Managing Editor. I managed the publishing funds and edited articles.

I wrote critic views about studying and an inspirational about Happiness in Individualism.

As a College senior, I took over as an Editor-in-Chief at 21. I managed to handle a group of writers, artists, photographers and editorial board.

We successfully published 4 newspapers and a literary folio.

Right after graduation, I became an online Research Writer. I worked at home for 2 years.

I got the 3rd place Savant Writer title for writing the most number of pages. I won a cash incentive of P10,000.

It was such an honor for me that my hard work paid off.

7. 3rd place Dean’s Lister.

After a heart break, I kept studying. There was so much to do.

I was reading chapters of books on all my major subjects ahead of time, reviewing the current topics of each and writing my written and verbal report too.

I was so busy. To my surprise, I made it to the top honorable students.

8.Psychology Graduate.

Maintaining an above 90% grade on major subjects is challenging. I needed to study hard to stay as a Psychology student.

Graduating with a Psychology degree gave me a great sense of accomplishment.

And yet, I allow myself to be silly, weird and crazy brilliant even. Because, why not? Just kidding.

9. Young and Independent Professional.

156194_1708843162194_357589_n
Feeling Fabulous

I went out into the world after 2 years as a home based Research writer. I landed a job in the Outsourcing field.

It enhanced my English communication skills and professional work attitude.

I moved in my own place. I did chores for myself and managed my finances. Freedom is so blissful! I get to do anything I want!

I watched movies and read books all day. I ate any food I want. I munched on Lays and watched Gintama on my rest days.

I read manga too. These always relaxed and made me laugh.

I get to shop clothes, branded perfume and make up. I’d party out with my best friend.

We’d dance away and watch bands play music. I listened to indie bands perform Rock Metal music. The genre took my stress and angst away.

I became business minded and took on business trainings after work.

10. Up levelled Professional.

19961545_10213236252322146_8449082264691279006_n
7 years in the corporate world. Life’s sweeter in the creative world ^_^

I tried out for a promotion at work just for fun. I thought about how God sent Moses to speak to the Pharaohs to free the slaves.

I walked into the interview room filled with God appointed confidence I never knew I had.

Everyone knew I’d pass until it was officially announced. So there I was – a Quality Analyst Apprentice. Conducting audits, making reports and attending audit sessions.

At the same time I was automatically assumed into being a Resolution Specialist. Handling 2nd level concerns. Working for 7 years outside of Writing taught me to be stronger and diligent.

11.Breastfeeding Mom.

True Love is Forever. Photo by Me

It took me 3 months to heal from Caesarian birth operation. My best day was when I succeeded breastfeeding my baby.

It was a special bonding moment for me and my child. I treasure them so much.

12. An Awakened Spiritual and Self Development seeker.

Finding myself again ^_^

I decided to fix my mindset and finances towards positivity, self-love, happiness, well being and abundance. I learned about Law of Attraction on a deeper level.

I am still learning more about Crystals, Meditation, Chakras, Akashic Records, Reiki, Theta Healing, Paleidian healing, Intuition, Angel numbers, Spirit animals and Spirit Guides. All these knowledge inspires me to be a better version of myself.

13. Professional Blogger.

I built this blog and named it The Rising Bliss. I have been writing blog posts on it consistently once a week.

It kept me happy. I am able to reach out to people and serve the world with my passion.

14. Graphic Designer.

My colorful and inspiring Instagram aesthetic.

I have been editing and designing graphics for my blog posts, Instagram and Pinterest. It feels so great to create colorful masterpieces.

It was an incredible journey looking at my life. I am filled with gratitude for it and  the people around me.

As I was reflecting on my life, I felt an inner bliss. Guess what? Blessings came pouring right away!

My hubby bought me my favorite snack! Popcorn! (Yes, I’m easy to please like that.) I got a thousand cash gift cheque too. My older brother came home with a box of Cheesy Lava Pizza just for me.

IMG_20180120_185637
Oh my Pizza! ^_^

I’m so thankful. My eldest brother cooked a delicious Spaghetti and Spring rolls too. Our family friend gave me a box of J.Co doughnuts.

I received tons of greetings and well wishes on Facebook messenger, personal messages and text messages. I was so overwhelmingly happy!

Best of all, I received my first Theta healing. Are you curious just yet? Watch out for my next post about it!

All of these happened because this was the only day I allowed myself to shine the brightest. It is my birthday gift for myself.

The Universe supported me by showering me with massive love, happiness and birthday food.

I wrote my life journey to remind me of who I am and who I can be.

Best of all, to inspire you to celebrate your simple and grand successes in life. We are all amazing.

We can create amazing things for ourselves and serve the world. It all starts with loving ourselves.

Self Love is crucial to harness your power to give more. Keep loving who you are, even more so on days it feels quite difficult.

Listen to your body. Give it what it needs even for just a little while. This way you wouldn’t run out of love to share.

Thank you for reading all the way here. I am humbled by all the support.

I thought of you guys and it made me smile to have such wonderful people to connect with.

I love you and wish you all the great things in life.

Any birthday wishes for me? Please comment, like and share.

I’ll be here serving you with weekly inspiration, happiness and positivity.

Love and Awesomeness,

5 Brilliant Things You can Do on National Hat Day

PicsArt_01-13-11.06.09
Hats are Happiness, Love and Crown Chakra too. Photo by 1643606 on Pixabay Edited by Nina on The Rising Bliss

What would you be up to this National Hat Day?

Why and how to celebrate it?

If ever you’re wondering about these things, I’m here to share some enlightenment with you.

Flashback to 3,000 BC, the first hat appeared on a mural of a tomb in Thebes. A man on the mural wore a straw hat.

Since then hats are worn for different reasons – protection, social status and religious rites.

Hats have evolved as part of fashion and self-expression.

The National Hat Day has become a holiday every January 15.

No one knows who started this holiday for hats. Even so, I still love National Hat Day anyway.

Why wouldn’t I? I love hats! I’m a hat person (No pun-intended). Wearing comfy, cute and stylish hats make me happy.

Are you a hat-lover too? Who’s with me? Raise your hats! Join me in this hat filled moment.

Here’s the deal, the National Hat Day is for wearing hats! So take out your fancy, cute, rare, weird or crazy hats out of the closet.

Wear them all throughout the day and have different hats for every selfie.

You can go as far as having a groupfie with all of your friends or loved ones wearing hats.

Maybe give hats as a gift or discover your hat style here.

Plot twist on a deeper level, wearing hats on National Hat Day means honoring and being grateful of our head and mind – our consciousness.

Since our head is where the Crown Chakra is, what perfect way to celebrate National Hat day than to activate, balance and cleanse it.

Chakra is a center of swirling energy or energy wheel in our body.

It is the center of bodily process, thoughts and emotions.

The Crown Chakra is the energy center for happiness, trust, positivity, creativity or inspiration, inner self, devotion and Divine connection.

Tap into brilliance – the Crown Chakra. It is inner genius, creativity and Divine guidance. Photo by cosmicart on Pixabay

In celebration of National Hat Day, these steps are to activate, balance and cleanse your Crown Chakra:

1.Put your Mozart on.

music-581732_1280
To create masterpieces, listen to brilliant music. Photo by rkit on Pixabay

Listen to Classical music by Mozart. Studies proved that classical music increases intelligence and creativity.

Under a powerful microscope or tool, frozen water exposed to such genre turned into snowflake like structures.

True enough, I wrote more poetry and finished writing my first Fantasy novel while Mozart’s music played in the background.

Listening to his classical pieces helps to activate your Crown Chakra with creative inspiration.

2. Live out your Artsy-ness.

Do some coloring or painting. You can also look at beautiful masterpieces in an Art Gallery or Art website.

This activates your Crown Chakra by increasing creativity and happiness.

3. Bookworm your way to inspiration and self development.

Illuminate your world with Wisdom. Photo by Toa Heftiba on Unsplash

Read books like “The Secret,” “The Magic,” and “The Power” (Rhonda Byrnes), “ChickenSoup for the Soul” (Jack Canfield), The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey) and “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” (T.Harv Eker).

This will activate your Crown Chakra with wisdom.

4. Splash in some Violet in your Style.

pexels-photo-398731
Violet is the color of Divine consciousness, spirituality and oneness. Photo by Miesha Moriniere on Pexels

Wear a violet hat, clothes or shoes. This is the color of the Crown Chakra. Wearing  violet helps in activating and balancing it.

5. Clear out with Crystals.

Close your eyes and hold an amethyst or clear quartz crystal. Listen and follow through a Chakra cleansing guided meditation.

Now that you have your awesome hat on and your Crown Chakra in a blissful state with these steps, you’ll be more guided with your intuition, ideas, wisdom and creative inspiration.

Feel at peace that the Universe is always supporting you in your journey to happiness, love, health and abundance.

Choose your thoughts well. Be mindful to only think and feel gratitude, happiness and love.

The Universe will give more of these to you.

Which hat is your fave and which step would you do for your Crown Chakra? Tell me through your comments below.

I’d love to know and talk with you. ^_^

Please like and Share for everyone to have an amazing National Hat Day.

Follow this blog for weekly inspiration on happiness, positivity and Law of Attraction.

Thank you for reading.

I raise my hat to you.

Love and Long Live the Hats,

7 Blissful Tips for a Happy National Cuddle Day

-1.jpeg
Cuddling speaks of love more than words can say. Photo from Pexels

How do you stay warm during cold months or winter season?

What better time to cuddle than this one.

So the National Cuddle Day was made for this. It is celebrated every January 6.

Even though the person who thought of it wasn’t known, still a huge thanks.

It gave people the excuse to be more expressive of their love through giving and receiving cuddles from the one they love.

The National Cuddle Day is also a good time to be more loving and caring of ourselves.

I’m all for cuddles. I believe in the amazing benefits it has for our well being and happiness.

Here are the 7 blissful tips to have a happy National Cuddle Day.

1.Cuddle Up.

freestocks-org-119823
Get your Cuddle mode on. Photo by freestocks.org on Unsplash

National Cuddle Day would not be complete without cuddles, of course!

Spend a good 15 to 30 minutes cuddling with your special someone or pet or your baby (if you’re a mom) in bed or on the couch.

Fully enjoy the moment of having the warmth of your loved one around you and in your arms.

Send a lot of loving thoughts to your significant other. Imagine a bright pink light of love surrounding both of you.

Make your loved one feel your love through your cuddles. Bring in so much love and let it flow to your loved one.

Cuddling isn’t just for lovers. It’s also for moms and babies or children. Cuddles are for fur parents and pets too!

Moms can spend their day cuddling with their baby while they nurse them and take care of them all throughout the day.

Fur parents can cuddle their dogs or cats while they’re on the couch watching tv.

We all need physical touch from people we love and are comfy with. Cuddling is a perfect form of physical touch. It makes us feel loved.

The longer time and more often we spend cuddling, the greater effects it has on our well being and happiness.

It helps our brains to release more Oxytocin and Dopamine – the happy hormones.

When Oxytocin flows more in our brain, it makes us have that feel good feeling.

It makes us feel more bonded with our loved ones.

We become healthier because of the immunity boost.

It decreases blood pressure and risks of heart attacks.

The Oxytocin we get from cuddling also eases pain.

We sleep better when we cuddle during bedtime.

Even busts out stress and social anxiety. Cuddling helps us be more optimistic and enhance our outlook in life with positivity.

Breastfeeding moms also produce more milk when they cuddle their babies.

As for the Dopamine increase from all the cuddling, our memory and focus becomes sharper.

Cuddling when we wake up helps us feel energized and more awake.

We become more motivated and creative.

Over all, the pleasure in cuddling is a natural way to instantly feel good.

2. Up your game on Self-love.

pexels-photo-101523
Self-love also means giving yourself a good sleep cuddling a teddy bear or pillow. Photo from Pexels

The National Cuddle Day is a time for more Self-love as much as for those who are with their significant other.

Never forget to love yourself too. You can give yourself a cuddle emotionally just by embracing who you are unconditionally.

Spend 5 to 10 minutes in the mirror. Smile and look at yourself in the eyes.

Tell yourself with full conviction and feelings: “I am worthy of all the good things in life. I am enough. I am willing to choose happiness and love every day.”

Say this 10 times. Do this when you wake up and before you sleep.

Cuddle with a teddy bear or pillow for a good sleep.

3. Cover up in furries and fuzzies.

Fuzzies is a blanket and a warm feeling of love. Photo by ghost presenter on Unsplash

If National Cuddle Day falls on your rest day where you don’t have to go to work or school, bring out your furry and fuzzy blankets or comforters.

Get wrapped up in them by yourself, with a pet or your loved one.

Put on some socks and fuzzy slippers too. Cozy.

If you’re going to work or school, you can wear a velvet or fuzzy jacket to stay warm.

4.Warm drinks and food.

Have a coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Sip and enjoy the relaxing, warm and sweet taste.

Savor some hot soups too. You can find some healthy yummy soups here.

5.Bathe in Warmth.

Have a quick warm shower or have a warm soak in the bath tub. Let yourself be cuddled in warmth. Breathe in happiness.

6.Light Up.

Light some Lavender candles.

The warmth and relaxing scent allows you to enjoy the moment with your loved one, pet or just pamper yourself.

Breathe in the moment.

Deep breathe for 5 minutes. Inhale positivity and love.

Exhale negativity and hate.

7. Cuddle Playlist.

pexels-photo-164853
Music calms the soul. Photo from Pexels

Compile your own Cuddle music on your computer, laptop, phone or on Spotify.

Play these songs as you cuddle with your loved one or pet.

You can put these playlist on while you enjoy your warm bath, warm food and drinks, fuzzy slippers or warm clothes or wrapped up in your fuzzy blanket.

Either by yourself, with a loved one or a furry pet companion.

You can try these songs for your Cuddle Music: “All of Me” (John legend),” Just The Way You Are” (Bruno Mars), “Marry Me” (Jason Derulo) “Stay with Me” (Sam Smith), “Make You feel My Love” (Adele) “Thinking out Loud” (Ed Sheeran) “The Scientist” (Coldplay) “You and Me”(Lifehouse). Your Guardian Angel” (The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) and “Say” (John Mayer).

National Cuddle Day is so right for being more loving to our loved ones and ourselves.

When we act from love we grow happier and develop into our higher selves.

We become more understanding, patient, caring, generous and helpful.

We become a true being of love. Radiating love helps others become love too.

Just as God made us lovingly out of love, we should always choose love and happiness.

May your National Cuddle Day be filled with blissful love.

Happy cuddling!

How are you going to unleash your cuddle power?

3 Steps to Create an Epic Awesome New Year

PicsArt_12-30-03.03.35
New Years are for perfect for fresh, fun and exciting beginnings! Photo by James Owen on Unsplash Edited by Nina on The Rising Bliss

Are you ready for 2018? How does the coming New Year makes you feel?

The New Year brings me so much hope, excitement, happiness and gratitude. I feel hopeful because the coming year is a brand new start.

This 2018 is a chance to make the best out of life. It is a blank canvass where I can put in colorful moments, wisdom, love and inspiration.

I’m grateful for the New Year because I’m given the opportunity to turn my life into a masterpiece.

This New Year is the perfect time to really become the best version of myself.

It fills me with cheerful anticipation of living the best life that is meant for me.

I know having the best life lets me become more open to receive and share great blessings to everyone.

I’m thankfully trusting, surrendering and expectant of having all of my desires and blessings. And no, it doesn’t make anyone selfish or greedy at all to look forward to greater blessings and graciously receive them.

Learning to become a thankful and good receiver of financial and material abundance can give us more means to be more giving.

We live in an abundant and limitless Universe after all.

I believe being grateful and looking forward to receiving good things is a great way to enjoy life. When we are happy, we are able to make life blissful for others too.

Tony Robbins talked about Primary question and mainly it says, life gives you what you always ask for.

So, are you asking and looking for things which will make you happy and abundant or are you subconsciously looking for events that will piss you off and make you broke?

I’d rather choose to ask and look forward to more blessings.

Change your life story into the reality you’d love.

Simply be more mindful of the primary questions you subconsciously ask about your everyday life.

My dear readers, I have to tell you how I’m filled with happiness this New Year. This is because I have never been more connected to the Universe than ever before.

I know that all my needs and desires are already given. I’m at peace and in full trust that every circumstance happens for my highest good.

I wouldn’t be here serving the world through this happiness and Law of Attraction blog if I haven’t had an emotional breakdown as a new mother.

This New Year just made me cry tears of joy and gratitude, all the days of my entire lifetime I am divinely blessed.

Every single day is a choice to be happy so why not keep choosing happiness for a year? How about choosing to be happy for life? Better yet forever?

Ever wonder why some people are happier than others? Tell you what, it’s not about the material possession, degree, finances, fame or looks.

Happiness has everything to do with a positive mindset. What sets happy, healthy, abundant, successful people apart from others is they are always aligned with positivity, gratitude, kindness, forgiveness, love, receiving and giving.

So being the blissful blogger that I am, I’m more than happy to share how you can have a blissful year.

1.Be Real with Yourself.

PicsArt_12-29-10.04.35
Show up for Yourself. You are meant to shine for the World. Photo from Pexels. Edited by Nina on The Rising Bliss

Take time to really listen and speak to yourself. Wake up and go on a self development journey.

Do this for yourself because you deserve the most epic blissful life ever.

Take time to look at your current life and reinvent it towards your higher best self. What are the positive changes you’re determined to make this coming New Year?

What made you decide to make these changes? How determined are you to follow through these?

Describe your highest best self. How does your best self live? How does he or she act, speak, think and feel like?

What actions are you going to take to be that higher best self?

Do those actions. Start being your best self from now on.

The clearer, specific and time bound you are in answering these, the better chance of following through your self development journey.

You can keep a journal for this to stay aware and mindful of your progress.

Alternatively, you can keep an audio or short video journal or a personal blog.

Write or just talk about everything you’re grateful for, the steps you’ve succeeded doing, things you aim for and lessons learned in certain circumstances.

2.Spark and Spice it Up.

guilherme-stecanella-370459
Transform into brilliance. The World needs your gifts. Photo by Guilherme Stecanella on Unsplash

Expand your talents, knowledge and skills. Learning something new makes life more exciting, productive and meaningful.

Fill up your life with good experiences.

Keep busy and make no space for negativity.

Find something positive that peaks your interest and lights you up.

Try a new online game, art craft, language, cuisine, musical instrument, writing style, fashion, healthy diet, exercise, dance genre, yoga, meditation, running, metaphysics, travel locations, cooking, read inspiring self development books, knitting, crocheting, sewing, graphic designing, music mixing, photography, blogging, web design, watch insightful or fun movies and tv shows.

Mix and match these new skills and create something unique. Squeeze in 10 minutes or more trying out these positive hobbies.

After developing talents, skills and knowledge, now what?

Time to give back. Use these newly acquired gifts to help out others. Volunteer or turn these skills into a money making part time gig or business.

Either as a host, dj, event organizer, costume designer, dance or work out instructor, freelance writer, events photographer or musical performer.

Having expertise to share helps you find purpose.Serving that purpose is a life well  lived with happiness.

3.Reinvent Yourself with a New Year’s Resolution.

rose-843393_640
Bloom and transcend into your inner greatness. Photo by GLady on Pixabay

Turn that wishful thinking into a self challenge for fun!

Just an example, if you intend to save more money as your New Year’s resolution, be specific on the amount of money you want to save by the end of the year.

Decide on where you will use the money you will save up. List 5 steps you can do to achieve it.

Set up a reward for yourself when you achieve your goal. You can think of a name for your resolution like “Money Saving Challenge.”

Every day or every week, you can create a live video, blog or post a photo status on your Facebook, Instagram or other social media you have.

Show up for yourself and post the action you’ve taken to save money. Even better if you can create a Facebook group.

Have your like-minded positive friends and family to join in on the challenge.

This will help you be more accountable in keeping your New Year’s resolution.

You end up richer, fulfilled and you get to keep a memory of the challenge you’ve completed.

Whenever it feels like you just want to give up and be your old less happy and less abundant self, see yourself succeeding.

Really feel thankful and happy for fulfilling your New Year’s resolution.

Rest for just one day and pick yourself up again. Carry on with your Money Saving Challenge.

Read biographies of successful people and watch inspiring videos like Kathrin Zenkina, Tony Robbins, Gabriel (Gabby Bernstein) and Abraham Hicks.

The 9 Best ways to make a Happier Christmas

christmas-2971961_640
Christmas is the best time of the year! Photo by jill111 on Pixabay

Are you excited for Christmas yet? Have you ever felt sooo excited that you can’t sleep a few hours until Christmas comes? Just because?

Christmas is the best holiday because it is the happiest time of the year for most of us.

It is a time of giving, loving and forgiveness. There’s just so much magical feeling into it. Miracles happen anytime and everywhere.

It has that joyous atmosphere and the whole world just feels much more alive. Christmas makes my most favorite occasion in the world.

I enjoy every bit of it because of all the effort, love, energy that we put into the celebration.

Growing up, I realized how much time, effort, feelings and money is given, just to create a very special and most awaited Christmas moment.

This occasion only happens once in a year. It is only best to cherish it with all our hearts.

Christmas is meant to be enjoyable so I’m sharing these simple ideas to make this special holiday feel more blissful.

1. Be a Christmas DJ!

IMG_20171218_184347
Brighten up the Christmas spirit with blissful music! Photo by geralt on Pixabay Edited by Nina The Rising Bliss

Play happy Christmas songs of your favorite music artist. You can also create a happy Christmas playlist.

Keep in mind that the kind of music that you listen to creates a big impact on your subconscious.

Since you’d like and intend to make Christmas feel happy for everyone, make a conscious effort of playing only those Christmas songs that have positive, inspiring, happy lyrics and upbeat tune (relaxing mellow tunes would be perfect too).

Include the Christmas music staples such as Joy to the World, Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls,Christmas Alphabet, O Holy Night, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Silent Night, O Come, All Ye Faithful, Christmas in our Hearts and White Christmas.

For a more highly contagious festive mood boost, I highly recommend listening to Hanson’s latest song “Finally, it’s Christmas.”

Another one that you can listen to is Hanson’s “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” from their previous album Snowed In.

Play these Christmas music starting today up until during the Christmas celebration.

You can keep these songs in the background every morning when you wake up and every evening before sleeping.

You can even play these songs all day when you prepare the Christmas food, shop, wrap gifts and decorate the Christmas tree.

2. Bring out the Christmas Artist in You.

christmas-decorations-1882055_640
At Christmas the world  is more beautiful with colors, sparkles and light. Photo by Visor69 on Pixabay

Choose a color and theme for your Christmas decoration.

Cut out or print out happy Christmas images and quotes. Put them together into a Christmas poster or collage.

You can display it on the walls of the living room. Add in some Christmas garlands and fairy lights too.

Turn up the Christmas lights on the Christmas tree and switch on the fairy lights for a short while during rest days.

Take time to watch the lights dance and admire their colors.

3. Make Jesus the Real Meaning of Christmas.

Jesus is the reason for the season. Photo by Matt Botsford on Unsplash

If you can believe in Santa Claus, then why not believe in Jesus Christ all the more?

Regardless if you’re not into religion, you can always have your own faith in a higher being or greater source.

Starting today, find a quiet time to reflect on life and search for those times you felt saved from harm or suddenly received miracles of blessing or being helped out.

Reflect on how every cell of your being were wonderfully made, how nature flourishes by themselves, who holds all the planets in place in the galaxy and how certain people or life events led you to the good in your lives.

If those out of nowhere miracles, guidance, blessings and protection circumstances in your life aren’t more than enough proof that God exists, I don’t know what is.

Take some time to seek and discover who God is and how would it feel like to have a happy relationship with God.

Choose to believe that a higher being loves us greatly and was born to save us.

Jesus came  down from heaven to be one of us, to guide us the right way towards God the Father, protect us all the time, love us unconditionally, gives our needs, makes us happy and gives us eternal life.

As you celebrate Christmas, think of Jesus with gratitude. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and say your personal thanks to him.

Welcome him and greet him a happy birthday.

Jesus is the celebrant of honor! The holiday itself says CHRISTmas after all.

It is the day we choose to remember his birth. By being born into this world, we are already blessed with the best gifts in the world – Love, Health, Free Will and Eternal Life.

You are loved and blessed more than you think because of Jesus.

4. Become a Christmas Angel.

Spread love with your big heart of gold. Photo by cegoh on Pixabay

Give away or donate old things that are still in good condition.

Give some  spare change to Christmas carolers or give the coins during mass offerings at church.

Be more encouraging and expressively appreciative of others.

If you’re knowledgeable on a certain topic, share positive and helpful advice to people who needs it.

Post inspiring words of wisdom, videos, photographs and art on Social Media.

5. Get Crafty with Christmas gifts.

The best gifts are the ones thoughtfully made with love and effort. Photo by annca on Pixabay

Christmas gifts are icing on the cake. It keeps the Spirit of Giving alive.

You can always create a personalized play list of songs for loved ones who love music. Compile 7-10 positive songs in a CD.

Good with knitting or crocheting? Knitted or Crocheted gifts like scarf, coasters, small wallets and bonnets are great personalized Christmas gifts.

How about sewing by hand or using a sewing machine? If you’re good at this, a handmade animal plushies, dolls or pillows would also be nice to give to kids.

You can also get a small basket to customize a food basket filled with snacks or fruits or create a bath set with soap, shampoo and bath sponge.

Another option to give to women is a beauty set with a chapstick, nail polish, a small tube of lotion and small bottle of cologne or perfume.

Wrap in a clear plastic and put a ribbon on it to make it more special.

A goodie mug can also be stuffed with either 3 sachet of Swiss Miss hot chocolate or Coffee, Sugar, Creamer or Tea (depending on which the receiver would like).

Alternatively, you can put small trinkets like a keychain, small angel figurine and bracelet in the goodie mug.

Of course, this gift is only advisable to give to 11 years old and above. These small trinkets should be kept away from babies and toddlers.

6. Awaken your Inner Christmas chef.

close-up-1854245_640
Food is tastier when made with love. Photo by Pexels on Pixabay

Enjoy making  an easy and delicious Christmas appetizer, dessert or dish for everyone to eat. Search on the Internet and watch video tutorials on YouTube.

Food preparation is fun for me. I get to make refrigerated cake, tacos, cheese sticks, California Maki, Chicken Strips, Mojo potatoes, fruit salads, pesto, coleslaw or potato salad.

These simple yummy dishes make me feel like a pro! Whoo!

Volunteer to help out your mom in the kitchen even if there are helpers.

It is the best way to have more family bonding behind the Christmas celebration scenes.

You just might discover your passion for cooking and learn more about it too.

7. Wear Christmas in Style.

Have a Christmas colored theme with your family.

You  can try to wear red clothes or green clothes or a customized Christmas shirt or put on a Santa hat.

Wear a style that make you look good and comfy in.

Have fun posing stylish, making silly and happy faces with your family for picture taking.

8. Channel Your inner Christmas Paparazziness.

You can document a video and capture photographs of everything from the preparation down to the celebration.

A smart phone, video camera or good digital camera should do the trick.

You can shoot photographs of the Christmas decorations, food, gifts, eating and Christmas activities you shared together.

These photographs can be created into a movie presentation or music video as a fun way to capture moments with your family.

9. Indulge as a Christmas Feel Good Movie Enthusiast.

alex-munsell-18754
Pop corns are for Christmas too, you know. Photo by Alex Munsell on Unsplash

After cooking Christmas food, resting, wearing Christmas clothes, going to Christmas mass or having a quick thankful talk to Jesus, savoring a luscious food with loved ones as the Christmas music played and gifts were given, Christmas pictures were taken, greetings were said, now what?

Christmas movie time!

Relax comfortably with family and watch some of these oldies but goodie movies: “Elf” starring Will Ferrel, “Home Alone” (1990), “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946), “Charlie Brown Christmas”, “Muppet Christmas” (1992), Arthur Christmas (2011), “About a Boy”  starred by  Hugh Grant (2002), The Polar Express (2004) and “The Santa Clause” starring Tim Allen (1994).

I’m feeling more thankful and excited for Christmas just writing about this. The wonder of it no matter how simple it is celebrated still never cease to amaze me.

It reminds me of the endless gifts of love, comfort, nourishment, peace, health, abundance and happiness showered to me every day. Christmas just keeps getting brighter and brighter!

How do you make your Christmas even more special?

How I received my Leibster Award Nomination through Law of Attraction

lauurena-com_
Gratefully yours, humbled and honored. Photo from Global Aussie

You know what’s amazing? I manifested having this Leibster Award! I saw this somewhere on one of the blogs I read.

I wondered what a Leibster Award is but never researched about it.

I thought how cool would it be to have one too even if I just started my blog.

Just as I’ve forgotten about it, Sharlene asked bloggers if she can check their blogs for nomination.

Of all the millions of blogs in the world, thank you so much Sharlene for your time and effort to include me.

This means a lot.

I highly recommend you to look into Sharlene’s blog. I love how her portfolio has beautiful photographs.

The pictures look so perfectly crisp and clear. It was refreshing to look at.

I like that her blog has inspiring content. The way she writes is very relatable and fun to read.

Overall, the blog lay out is really clean and it is easy to navigate around her blog.

Favorite Blog

In a sea of blogs. Photo by Sundine on Pixabay

I just started blogging with a passion and purpose (well I had one when I was a teenager but never really read other blogs that time).

I only just recently came across thousands of awesome awesome blogs!

There’s so many of them that at the moment I couldn’t choose my most favorite one.

Usually blogs that make my favorite list would be those that are about positivity, Law of Attraction, New Mom Hacks, Spirituality, Christian faith and Self Development.

I read fashion, music, movies, travel and everything else too.

I also look for blogs that has a good lay out, simple navigation, beautiful photos and colors with great blog content.

I always like the ones that help me learn something new and have deeper knowledge at the same time fun to read.

Once I find my favorite and other interesting blogs, I may feature them in my future posts if ever they fit into my blog.

Nomination Questions from Sharlene Anne:

1.What inspires your blog? I am inspired to help people to find their own kind of happiness and live the life they desire.

2.What are 3 items you would take on a stranded island? Swiss knife, lighter and a large gallon of drinking water. Survival mode on.

3.If you can live anywhere where would it be? I can see myself  living in Paris.

4.How did you come up with your blog name? I like sharing about the kind of happiness that stays and uplifts so I thought The Rising Bliss sounds perfect.

5.What’s one of your favorite memories? One of my most favorite memories was when me and my whole family travelled to Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.

We took Business class flights, had comfy and beautiful rooms to stay in and ate delicious food.

I also got to tag along with mom to go to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Arizona when I was fourteen.

6.If you can only eat 1 thing for the rest of your life what would it be? I can eat Pizza forever. It’s got everything in it – carbs, veggies, cheese and meat. A fruit pizza would sound cool too.

7.What’s your favorite quote? “With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. “ – Desiderata by Max Ehrmann-

Since I’m a believer in Positivity and Law of Attraction as important keys to happiness, I no longer agree about the sham, drudgery and broken dreams of the world though.

I just believe we need to be thankful and choose to look on the bright side as much as we can.

I also don’t think we need to strive at all because it is easy to be happy as long as we are always thankful.

8.What’s something you can’t live without? God. I can’t imagine a life without God. I’d feel lost and cynical about life.

I’ve been like that and I’ve felt the difference in having God in my life. I feel guided, protected, blessed, strengthened and happy.

I’m not the religious kind but I keep a daughter relationship with God.

9.Favorite song? I got two. “Arise” by Flyleaf. I love the part that says: “Arise and be all that you dreamed.” I also like “Unstoppable” by Sia. The lyrics are empowering.

10. If you can trade places with anyone for a day who would it be and why? I would love to trade places with J.K. Rowling.

I’d only like to live the part how she successfully sold millions of her books and earn so much.

If I’d be that successful, I’d write more books that sell so I can fully support my whole family.

So I’m here to spread the love by sharing others’ awesome blogs!

5 Awesome and Empowering Things to do on Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day

efe-kurnaz-315384
Time travelling through your life is an amazingly colorful journey. Photo by Efe Kurnaz on Unsplash

You are more than  your flaws, sad experiences and circumstances. These are the missing puzzles that lead you to awaken your powerful potential.

When you rise above yourself, you’ll find that everything you need to have the greatest life is already inside of you.

So how do you awaken your power and discover your potential? Time Travel! Your mind is the best time machine ever.

You can go anywhere, whenever, however and with whoever we want. Anything is possible in our minds.

The Pretend to be a Time Traveller Day this 10th of December 2017 is just the perfect moment to empower yourself towards your own happily ever after.

This is the best time to explore your past, future and the present. You can do these through:

1.Inner Child Healing.  You must heal your past in order to get to the life you desire.

The pains, sadness, discomfort, guilt, fears and worries during your childhood subconsciously still affect your mindset about yourself, others, love, health and money.

Healing your past may seem uncomfortable but facing it, forgiving the past and letting go is necessary for you to fully embrace your power, worth, happiness, well being and your desired life.

gabby-orcutt-74607
Your Inner Child deserves all the unconditional love in the world. Indulge in happiness. Photo by Gabby Orcutt on Unsplash

Heal your inner child by going to YouTube and meditate using an Inner Child Healing guided meditation like this one:

Alternatively, you can write a letter to your younger self. Write with forgiveness, love, letting go, lesson learned and peace.

You can keep this letter and read it when you need encouragement.

2. Past Life Regression. You can understand and discover yourself more by knowing about your past life even before you were born in this lifetime.

This can help you find the missing piece why you think, feel and act in a certain way.

By knowing your past life, you’re able to fully be at peace with who you are.

First and foremost before going through the past life regression meditation, always pray or ask the Universe and your guardian angel to protect you and bring you back to your present self.

It is also best to have a trust worthy and dependable family member or friend to be with you during the meditation to wake you up.

Once you have prayed for protection and have someone reliable with you, here’s a past life regression guided meditation on YouTube you can try:

3. Akashic Records and Life Path Number. Once you are able to fully heal, forgive, understand, accept and  be free from your past, you become more positive of your present life.

You become ready to create your best life and develop your future self for your highest good.

Accessing your own Book of Life or Akashic Records can help you access parts of it to reveal your direction in life.

It could clue you in on which path to take towards your own success and happiness.

book-2899636_640
Life is an incredible discovery. Photo by Dieterich01 on Pixabay

Otherwise, you can always know your Life Path Number and search more about the meaning of it on the Internet or through books.

Your Life Path Number is determined by adding all the numbers on your Date of Birth and reducing it into a single number.

For example: October 25, 1983. 11+25+19+83 = 138. 1+3+8= 12. 1+2=3. In this Date of Birth, the Life Path is Life Path Number 3.

By reading more about your own Life Path, you can discover your strengths and weaknesses. This will help you know which jobs or business you can try and succeed with.

4.Higher Self Meditation. Now that you know which path to take based on your Life Path number and or Akashic Records, you gain clarity on how you can live your dream life.

Seeing your Higher Self helps you to act powerfully and be the successful version of yourself. You can do this through meditating on your Higher Self such as this one:

Your Higher Self can guide you in your present life. When doing a Higher Self guided meditation, you can first ask a question in your mind.

Afterwards, you can use this Higher Self guided meditation above. Your Higher Self can answer you with an image, word or phrase to guide you towards your best life.

5. Intuition. Healing the past and having a vision of your future Higher Self gives you a clear direction in your present life. Did you ever had that sense of knowing or feeling if something is going well but you end up going against it?

You would need to tune in to your intuition and make it stronger towards helping you make the right decisions and actions.

daria-tumanova-310162
You are one with the Universe. Embrace your Intuition. Photo by Daria Tumanova on Pixabay

You may need to tap into your intuition. This is your gut feel, instinct or inner knowing. You can develop and strengthen your intuition by asking guidance from your guardian angel, God or the Universe.

Choose a sign and ask the Universe to show you this sign if you are on the right path towards your best life. You can ask to see a Unicorn three times in a day for instance. Be more aware of your surroundings to see these signs.

You can also search on the Internet about increasing your intuition and practice a guided meditation about Intuition on YouTube.

Now that you have travelled through your past, future and present, you have all the power to choose happiness, positivity, love, health, peace and abundance.

Your self-discovery and awareness empower you to live your desired life. You owe it to yourself to have a beautiful life you desire. Wake up and dream with your eyes wide awake with vision, clarity and determination.

The life you desire is already within. You are full of possibilities and potential.Your life is an artful journey. You are the artist,  you create your life in any way you want.

Make your life a masterpiece. The Universe has given you all that you need and more. Use them at your will. You are your own hero.

Have a meaningful and amazing Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day!

Let’s light up the world and uplift everyone. Please share, like and comment.

Love,
Nina

Gifts from the Universe

box-1339992_1920 (1)
Life is a gift and you are so worthy of all the happiness and wonder in it. Photo by urszulam25 on Pixabay.

The Universe loves to give you every single thing your heart desires. It loves to be generous with happy surprises.

But the question is…are we ready to receive our desires and more for our highest good and everyone around us? Do we feel worthy to have all our desires?

The missing formula to fully mastering the Law of Attraction is self worth. We need to deeply feel that we are worthy of all the happiness, love, peace, health and riches in our life.

We need to let ourselves be willing to feel deserving of the life we’d love to live. We need to fully love ourselves unconditionally to build a deep self worth in ourselves.

When we truly love ourselves and feel worthy, we learn to believe that anything is possible.

We align ourselves with the power of the Universe. There is only space for gratitude, happiness, peace, love and positivity. All of which makes your power to receive your desires at the most perfect time.

The Universe is always saying yes to every feeling we feel. It gives us more reasons to feel as such. So why not choose happiness or abundance?

Whenever we feel tired, financially stressed or start to feel sad, we can always do a quick shift to choosing positivity by being grateful.

Miracles happen when we choose to be thankful. Hold on, no matter what. More often than not good things and breakthroughs begin to fall into place within the day, a day after, months after or in a year.

The Universe will surprise you when you least expect it. The surprise is always worth the wait.

It really doesn’t matter when or how. Just as long as we are grateful, happy, worthy, ready, open, taking inspired action and trusting in the Universe, the miracles that we need always comes right on time.

We receive them when we have fun and act as if we already have our desires. Before we know it, our desires have already come true.

Everything begins with us. Let us start with gratitude for ourselves. Being thankful makes us more loving towards ourselves.

We become more worthy. We learn to look at things in a brighter perspective. Soon enough, blessings and our desires will overflow.

The Shadow of My Past Unworthiness

IMG_20171117_104631
Even in the dark, our Self worth remains beautiful as a flower in full bloom. Photo by Engin_Ankyurt on Pixabay

Hey, I didn’t just woke up with tons of self worth either. I struggled with my own worth most of the time.

I was the only girl in the family. Everyone thought I’d be very spoiled and get all the attention from my parents. People think I’d be treated like a princess.

Well, it was quite the contrary. I grew up very shy and didn’t want to be the center of attention. Although I could ask for anything I want, I felt like I didn’t want to take all the love of my parents.

I thought my brothers won’t have anything left for them. So I pushed away my parents and brothers.

I was emotionally detached. I have hurt and rejected my loved ones just because I felt I was unworthy to be loved.

In my teenage years, I was always chauffeured and chaperoned when I go out because they need to make sure I’m safe. I longed to be like everyone else.

I wondered how it would feel like to travel on my own to anywhere I like. I felt ashamed that I am comfortable while others hustled.

I could have been grateful and accepting of every comfort but young as I am that time, I didn’t know any better.

I felt I needed to be independent so I won’t be a burden to my family. I learned to travel by myself, do chores and found a job right after graduating college.

I never asked for what I want or needed. I never went after my dreams. I settled for a job that drained me and worked only for money. I spent time pleasing other people so they won’t feel bad that I don’t hang out.

I did this while I left my novel unwritten, sitting in my files and took years to be completed.

I gave more effort in loving relationships too. I ate unhealthy food and consumed alcohol. My friendships were all one sided.

Friends only thought of me when they need something. They never reciprocated any support or encouragement for me at all.

I did all these unknowingly because deep inside I felt unworthy to be happy, loved and healthy.

Lighting Up with Finding My Self Worth

bart-larue-314562
Embrace the light within and shine. Photo by Bart LaRue on Unsplash

I found my self worth and finally embraced it when I became a mom. My child constantly filled me with so much love, happiness and awe.

Motherhood isn’t perfect and like any other human being, I get tired too. Yes, constantly tired but in love and happy.

Of all the exhaustion but still carrying on caring for my child and doing chores, I questioned my worth to live.

I looked at my little one and sure as surest I can ever be, I deserve to live.

I am worthy of all the love, comfort, happiness, peace, great health and abundance. All for myself, child, hubby and all my loved ones around me.

God created me. The Universe allowed me to exist. For these simple yet deep reasons, I know I’m here for a reason.

I’m worthy of having all the good things in life. I learned to respect, accept, love and honor myself.

I started to take small breaks as I go about my mom duties, work on my blog, write my novel, eat well, be more grateful, beautify myself once in a while, uplift others, develop myself and enjoy music or movies. I found amazing, kind, caring, brilliant soulmate friends too.

The Gift of Healing

Self worth takes practice until it becomes natural to me. It takes more effort since I’m a new stay at home mom.

If I have known how to truly act on preserving my self worth at an early age and single, it would have been easy peasy.

I managed to still feel worthy though. I have my child. I have every reason to care for my own well being to be an effective mom.

It was one of those days when all my exhaustion piled up. I was so dead tired and no time for myself to rest.

My body ached, my mind couldn’t think well and I could not stop crying. I had pains in my abdomen, back, arms and shoulders.

I carried on with mom duties while I cried. I still wanted to do more. I asked online if anyone knew a passive income I could do to earn more for my child.

As I endured my exhaustion, I continued being thankful and worthy of all positive things.

The Universe heard me and was quick to send me my miracle. It sent me Laura. A day after I asked for an income opportunity, she sent me a message.

I would have taken a chance but I’m just physically tired. I had to kindly decline for now. I was so weak, crying and I silently prayed to have all the energy I need for my child.

Laura found me in such a drained physical state but was very kind. She offered me a free gift of Reiki distance healing.

By the way, Reiki is a form of healing treatment. It is channeling the Universal life force to activate natural healing in the body. Well, that’s the way understood it but I never knew how it is done.

I could not believe it when Laura said she’ll give me this free gift. Since she’s a Reiki master for 5 years, to be honest, I feel having one may sound quite costly. To have one as a gift is a miracle for me! I was so thankful.

I overcame my shyness, told myself I’m worthy and graciously accepted it. She allowed me to set up a schedule.

I was making my child sleep for bedtime and I fell asleep out of exhaustion while I waited.

I woke up few minutes after and as promised, she gave me her Reiki distance healing. I was unable to tell her any medical conditions since my mind was too foggy from tiredness.

As she began the Reiki Distance Healing, I felt warm and relaxed. My crying stopped and the exhaustion was gone.

I felt light, strong and energized. A rush of comforting energy flowed through me.

Laura told me how the healing went. She started on my feet to make me feel grounded and secure. She removed all my blocks.

I was amazed how she read me well. It was as if she can see me although we only spoke through Facebook Messenger.

She told me my Throat Chakra is open and knew that I sing. I used to be a Soprano 1 during college days but I don’t sing often anymore. I sing lullabies for my child though.

She mentioned my Third Eye is partially open but I have fears. It’s true that I have been trying to connect with my guardian angel and spirit guides but I’m quite afraid.

I sometimes see flashes of memories before things happened, see words, phrases and images in my mind.

These might be the way my guardian angel and spirit guides give me guidance.

I also believe these may be Clairvoyance or Claircognizance. I am not sure if I should develop them or not. I’ll figure it out.

She also gave me an Angel Reading. She said I have Jesus and Archangel Raphael answering my healing request, a massage and healthy food can help me be more healthy.

I have been praying for my itchy feet and painful abdomen to heal. I always called on Jesus and Archangel Raphael to make me strong.

I always asked to be filled with energy. I could not just take any medications since I am a breastfeeding mom. I desired for natural healing.

Laura also saw how I am going through rebirth. I am currently working on myself to improve my life for my toddler.

I have so many ideas and I really want to be more giving once I start earning again. Lastly, she told me the name Manuela came up.

I could feel that this could be the aunt of my hubby who kept helping us despite grieving the loss of her husband. Manuela could also be the name of my Spirit Guide. It made me happy to know her name.

Overall, I could sense how compassionate and positive Laura is. She was very encouraging about my blog.

I received many gifts from the Universe after the Reiki Distance Healing. I felt energetic and it lasted for 5 days!

I slept soundly. It was incredible and amazing how I am able to take care of my toddler more. I felt so happy and at peace.

Self worth and feeling good just attracts more happiness and positive things. I had energy to write my previous post because she shared her healing gift to me.

My energy overflowed so much that I even participated in a 3 day blogging challenge.

My participation led me to win a coaching call from my favorite professional blogger.

My hubby suddenly received some gift certificates we used for groceries. He had a few extra budget and we were able to eat out with our toddler.

I was able to have a few make up for myself and some new journals to write in.

Laura’s Reiki Distance Healing is a beautiful experience that I’ll cherish and remember.

Reiki is love, light and all things positive! “One act of kindness can warm years of winter.” -Japanese quote- Photo by Rachel Walker on Unsplash

She’s a rare kind and generous woman who helped and uplifted me at the time I needed it the most. She’s heaven sent.

I may not know how I can ever give back all her generosity and compassion but I keep her in my heart with gratitude.

I ask the Universe to bless her forevermore. As for now, I dedicate this blog to her. I still cry tears of joy remembering the relief her healing gave me.

Every time we treat ourselves with self worth and choose to feel good, gifts from the Universe overflow.

When we are good to ourselves, we become more blessed in many ways. We learn to be compassionate with others. I can assure you these because it just happened to me.

I’m just going to leave you with this:

You are worthy of full healing, a healthy well being, to feel good, be happy and have more of good things. Try Reiki! It is super blissful.

3 Care-Free Top Tips to Being Happy

IMG_20171116_171519
Let life flow positively. Photo by Joshua Rawson-Harris on Unsplash

The only kind of surrender you need to do is surrendering your resistance to change or letting go of your negative mindset.

What I mean by negative mindset is all of your limiting beliefs, past hurts and negative self talk.

When you surrender you gain freedom to heal and transform your life.

Your awesome life and desires are just right outside your comfort zone – hiding in the guise of your resistance.

We have been conditioned to feel safe and secure in our comfort. We stay within the things we were taught to be safe.

In deeper reality, this is a form of resistance that holds us back from having our desired life and reaching our highest potential.

Confessions of a so-called Control Freak

I was never the laid back kind. I used to like being prepared. I always did my assignments in advance.

I read chapters of my major subjects ahead of time. I had advanced school notes too.

I have everything ready for school from all my stuff, books, uniform, allowance and down to my food.

As a former Editor-in-Chief in College for the Shool newspaper, I also had the whole school paper concept, articles, photos, illustrations, editing and publishing process all planned out.

All the newpapers and literary folio under my term were published smoothly.

My first job was a homebased writer. I always finished all my writing jobs a day before deadline.

Being in control gave me a sense of pride, power and fulfillment. I felt safe.

But what if everything fails and falls apart? That I don’t know.

After homebased writing for 2 years, I needed to earn more. I went out into the world to get a ‘real’ job.

I passed the exams and interview like child’s play.

I did not expect that I would be bullied for doing well and for being the trainor’s favorite.

My fellow trainees made snarky remarks within earshot. They made disapproving facial expressions and it hurt.

I had no control over how my workmates treated me. I lost control of my expected results and I failed at my corporate job for the first time.

It hurt devastatingly. I was broken. I lost myself – the person who used to have everything together.

Work was stressful. The travel was tiring. I just put on whichever clothes I pull out of my closet.

Life became uncontrollable. I shut the world out.

I constantly had earphones on. I listened to music almost all the time. It was my barrier.

I hid behind books too. I made less interaction.

I was traumatized by bullying. So much that I kept myself on low profile at work. I made myself small just to appease any workmate.

I became skeptic and paranoid. I walked on eggshells because people might get at me. I had anxiety and cried all the time.

I was detached from everyone. This way, they can never hurt me. All these control that I’ve tried to hold on to never helped me. I was stuck living aimlessly.

Happily in Surrender and Chilling Out

When I became a new mom, the emotional breakdown I had taught me complete surrender.

I rediscovered an in depth understanding of Law of Attraction. I started applying it in my life.

I also surrendered to Jesus. I read God’s Word. I prayed and talked to God all the time.

I had Bible study and watched The 700 Club Asia.

I sang and played worship songs. My workmates started asking me how I can still smile with all the stress. I simply answered: “I accepted Jesus in my life.”

I can’t imagine a life without God. My soul is healthy and full.

God gave me the right people, music, movies, food, books or audio books, videos, social media news feeds and everything I need.

Ever since I lived a Law of Attraction life, I became connected to the Universe and my higher self.

Things started looking up. I worked well and earned more.

I was peaceful and found inner happiness. Everything came at the right time.

I no longer worry if my plans didn’t seem to work out.

I know I am guided into something better. I am supported and protected. I am loved.

God who is also THE Universe wants me to be happy because I know how worthy I am.

I am God’s child. I am a child of the Universe. I am victorious in God’s love. We all are.

My life has never been happier.

Now who’s ready for the million dollar or pesos (any currency, really. Just Kidding.) question?

How do we surrender?

1.Visualize. Wake up saying silently to yourself thank you God/Universe for this happy day.

Smile. Stretch your arms and legs a bit. Quickly imagine a good day.

See yourself in a smooth travel to school or work, a pleasant interaction with others, peaceful travel home, nourishing food and restful sleep.

Let go of what happens and be ready for happy surprises.

2. Focus on the Good and Funny side. If things happen differently from what you visualized, write in your journal or do a quick reflection in your mind.

What is this circumstance or person teaching me?

What’s the good thing about this? What can I do about this?

What’s funny about this?

This breaks the negative pattern and shifts you to positivity.

In reflection and finding humor in the situation, it allows you to just shrug it off.

It helps you say oh well and move happily along.

You get to have more time and energy for productive things.

3. Make your mind a silent sanctuary. Try 10 minute guided meditations on YouTube.

Before meditation, ask God, your higher self, the Universe, Spirit Guides of the Highest Truth and Compassion or Guardian angels anything that you need guidance with or an advice.

You may get an answer while meditating or a few days after it.

Stay alert and awake for signs throughout your days.

The answer could either be a comforting feeling. You may see an image, words or phrase in your mind.

You could even hear song lyrics as an answer.

The answer is always filled with love, positivity and only guides you towards your highest good and of others too.

When your mind is relaxed it is open for endless possibilities.

Meditation is  perfect to calm and clear the consciousness. It fills our being with positive energy.

Inner peace, guidance, creative ideas and inspiration flow through meditation.

Where do you think I get these inspirational happy posts?

I got this from the Universe, of course!

I don’t really think about what to write. These just float in my head and I add in my personal story into it.

I get to chill and write without racking my brains out from writer’s block.

Surrendering is trust. It is taking inspired action and not questioning how your desires will come to you.

It is acting on faith that anything we can strongly imagine can be our beautiful reality.

It is expecting the best out of life and moving towards success.

There is lasting happiness and peace in surrender.

Knowing your circumstance work well to bring out and awaken your highest potential.

What are you surrendering today?

How are you going to go about it?

4 Life Changing Steps to Boost Happiness Continuously

jennifer-pallian-173719

Did you know this Fun Fact? Life is as chocolatey as you make it. Be your own Chocolatier Artisan. Photo by Jennifer Pallian on Unsplash

Stay addicted…whaaat? Yes, you read it right. Be addicted…to happiness. Say yes to an awesome life!

How long have you been feeling in pain? Sad?  Fearful? Unworthy? Lost? Well, these are the kind of things you need to stop.

Just stop addiction to the wrong things. Let yourself feel happy, brave, worthy and meaningful for once. See how your beautiful life unfolds.

Addictive Melancholy

I have to be honest that I’m no different. It seems my melancholic nature kept me fascinated with sorrow. It was the only thing that could inspire me to write. I wrote of many sad poetry of unrequited love, heartbreak and pain.

I even wrote my first novel out of anger. I wrote critical Editorial columns, thinking I was speaking the truth. I felt good that somehow I am able to create a masterpiece from all the sadness that I held on to.

All the while I thought I was just expressing away the sadness so it will no longer bother me. Not knowing that subconsciously I was feeding myself with feelings of unworthiness, fear and being lost. Negativity just kept building up.

Melancholy is the story that I used to tell myself and my life reflected it. I never became friends with the guy I admired from afar. I pushed away amazing people who asked to be friends with me.

I earned so little I could hardly save some of my money. I did not excel at work and never tried for promotion.  I let people treat me unkindly.

I had severe Asthma attacks, bleeding nose, Rhinitis, painful Dysmenorrhea and Recurring Urinary Tract Infection. I wasted my time on people who never valued me. I was almost on the brink of emotional breakdown into Depression.

The Awakening to Euphoria

The worse had to happen before my breakthrough into Euphoria. I cried endless tears and I felt powerless to stop it.

I fought every single day and one day, it was too much that I asked God to pick me up, because I cannot pick myself up.

I gave myself enough rest, ate healthy food and had a long bath for the first time while my hubby looked after our child. I began watching self help videos to fight sadness. I learned that a bad day is not a bad life.

Just like the seasons and weather changes, all sadness passes away. It is never temporary. All things happen to make us grow. God answered me through those self help videos from those who survived intense sadness.

I came across a group of people who are filled with positivity and gratitude. They radiated so much hope, inspiration, love, support, kindness and happiness.

I can’t help but be filled with love and light!  I survived because I have a message to tell you. We crossed paths to light up each other.

Little shifts happened. My fascination with sorrow disappeared. I stopped writing poetry, essays or novels when I’m sad, fearful, anxious, tired, angry, frustrated, broke, hurt or lost.

I only chose to listen to happy music with uplifting and encouraging lyrics. I watched more motivational videos, funny anime, tv shows or movies.

I listened to self help audio books. I also started making friendships with positive people and learned from successful people. The more I became enlightened, the more I became endeared to happiness.

Blessings came pouring in my life unexpectedly and miraculously. I had all the help I needed at the right time. I was never empty handed. I always had food, home, water, electricity, clothes, money and safety.

For some, these may be the littlest things taken for granted but I appreciate them as much as if I am the richest person in the world! They are my miracles as a stay at home mom.

I could cry tears of joy for all these comfort given to me, even without having to try so hard. Opportunities for income at home kept flowing left and right. I have more happy moments with my child and hubby.

My health began to flourish. I no longer had Asthma attacks. I breathe well. My nose stopped bleeding. Rhinitis was far from memory.

My painful Dysmenorrhea suddenly stopped, I fully recovered from Recurring Urinary Tract Infection and best of all, I am a full blown happy Unicorn! Bouts of sadness are gone.

I feel grateful and excited knowing that greater things are in store for me.

Sooo enough about me. Just Kidding. Pardon if I have to share my story to fully emphasize my happiness message across. It is just right to be real.

Now where was I? Ah yes, here’s how to break free from negativity and have more space filled with more positivity:

1.Tell those sadness, fear, unworthiness and lack of purpose to go away. This may be uncomfortable so it is best to take a deep breath and ask God to protect you while you let go of all negativity in your life.

Remember how I just stated not to write negativity? Well, this is a crucial exception. Get a journal or notebook. Write a letter to the Universe. Start it with:

Dear Universe, I release and bless all these negativity away from me because it no longer serves me. These feelings no longer belong to me. Please remove them and take them away. Make them gone forever and never to come back. “

For 5 minutes, continuously write down all your negative emotions of fear, anger, sadness, worry, guilt, shame, unworthiness, hate, failures, bad memories (only when you’re ready or comfy to write about it on the paper), pains and sickness.

Pour them all out depending on your comfort level. Cuss words, uncensored and all if you have to.

Once you feel that you have written everything, do not read the paper anymore.

Rip the paper away from the notebook or journal then fold it in half.

Go outside into an open area like a garden or garage in your home. Take a bucket of water with you.Place the paper on the ground, on soil or empty cement floor.

Get a lighter and burn the paper (Follow safety precautions on fire. Never leave the paper burning!) Just light up a tiny fire enough to burn the paper.

Watch how all the negativity burn away.

Once almost all the paper is in ashes, pour on the bucket of water to snuff out the fire. Make sure the fire has completely gone out.

Sweep away the wet ashes in a dust pan and throw away the ashes in the trash bin.

Another safer option of releasing negativity is once you’ve written them all out on paper, rip the paper into very tiny pieces then bury them on the ground in your garden or flush out the tiny ripped pieces of paper into the toilet.

This way you don’t have to keep it in. You won’t have to take the negativity out on yourself or others.

You’ll feel lighter, peaceful and free now that all those nasty negative burden is off your chest.

2. Embrace the power inside of you. It’s high time to take charge of yourself. Start complaining less and be more grateful.

Every time you would start to say a complaint, you may add a positive statement at the end of it.

For example, I feel so tired…but I’ll be able to rest soon. I’ll feel better once I’m rested. Something like that.

You can also avoid complaining by being grateful such as “I feel tired but I am thankful for the rest that I will have soon.”

The best way to lessen or stop complaining completely is to find a solution. You can find ways to make yourself feel less tired by taking a break or taking deep breaths, etc.

3. Leave the drama behind and never look back. Read or watch the news less often. I understand how important to know what is happening around us but it only creates more fear and worry.

I usually quickly look into the major news just to be aware then stop dwelling on it or talking about it with others.

Avoid negativity on the internet like a plague. Unsubscribe to disturbing videos, movies, tv shows, cartoons and movies. Watch more funny and empowering shows.

Unfollow negative stuff on social media or just hide them. Find positive things to follow and immerse in.

Stop playing sad love songs or angry music. Replace them with happy music or calming and relaxing music.

4. Be excited to take on new adventures of life. There is so much happiness to feel, sights to see, richness to enjoy, tastes to savor, comfort and pleasure to soak into, people to love and amazing life to live.

Create a Happy List! (It’s more positive to put it this way than refer to it as a Bucket List.) Write down all the positive things you would like to do.

Include places to travel, a language to learn, a dish to cook, a novel to write, a song to compose, foods to eat, music to listen to, books to read, people to meet, things to have and qualities you’d like to be.

Write down when you’d like to do them either in 2 months, several months or in a year.

Under each Happy item, you can write down small tasks you can do each day to achieve these Happy list.

Keep these in a journal or in a computer file with back up. Wake up with excitement to do and complete these small tasks.

To make it more fun, create an accountability group with your positive-minded friends. You can do a group Happy List to do together.

This way you can remind each other and stay on track with completing the small tasks. I prefer to be a solo act for my Happy List for now.

Look at your Happy List every week and tick off those that you have done.
