Have you ever heard of Divine Interruption?

Just when we think we got our whole life planned ahead of us and somehow got it quite figured out, suddenly out of nowhere comes a sudden plot twist.

Divine Interruption is when God would nudge us away from our busy lives to fulfill greater plans for us.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

He knows the best purpose for our life and God will help us accomplish it. “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” (Proverbs 16:3).

A life fulfilled in God is the happiest life. So how do we open up ourselves to God’s Divine Interruption?

 1.Pay attention and Listen.

Gradually immerse yourself in God’s Word. Find a Christian group of friends to go on a journey in a loving relationship with Jesus. Read the Bible, Christian books and blogs. Go to a Christian church.

Watch or listen to Christian preaching of God’s Word. Write down God’s Word from reading the Bible, Christian books, Christian Blogs and from the Christian church. Pray for God to reveal His message to you.

Write a reflection of the Bible verses that you came across or heard from these sources. Pray that you may listen, remember and act accordingly to God’s Words.

When you seek God, you’ll be surprised with how He will take care of your struggles, provide you blessings and shower you with so much love.

The Word of God that you’ll come across is not an incident. God will speak to you and you’ll know it’s Him. When I first attended a Christian service, God spoke to me right away.

The Pastor preached about How to Outsmart the Lies of the Devil. I was going through a broken family that was filled with hate, anger, greed, pride and unforgiveness.

I’ve always did good but I’ve always felt like disruptive people have everything easy. God through the Pastor said that’s what the devil would want good people to believe so they stay far away from God.

When in reality, God has already overcome all our struggles for us and in the end, those who side with the devil will never win no matter how it seems disruptive people have everything easy.

We just need to arm ourselves with God’s Word. I cried because God knew my heart’s burdens. I used to mediate between mom and my brothers but nothing. They only become worse.

I lifted up my family and home to God. Ever since then, God is fixing my family. Home has become so peaceful and happy. I didn’t have to do anything on my own. Imagine a God who loves you completely.

He’ll fill up every void in your being and His love consumes your heart that it overflows. You won’t help but love Him more and more.

Believe and keep God’s Word as your truth. Pray that God provide you His Holy Spirit to help you live by God’s Words.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV)

Even if we can be skeptic and cynical, be willing to put your trust in God. My academic and writing accomplishments, knowledge about Psychology and Law of Attraction and my financial abundance at work in the past has quite made me arrogant.

I thought I did everything my own but it was God revealing His power through me all along. For 7 years, God helped me overcome stress in a job I never liked but paid well.

He healed me from Post Partum Depression when my degree in Psychology can’t. He removed the painful internal lumps in my abdomen that I’ve suffered for 3 months even if I went to the doctor and took medication.

God answered my prayer when He turned my hubby into a Man of God. He dropped smoking and drinking. We learn God’s Words together. God made me and hubby stronger.

God never let me fall regardless of attacks from the devil. When you trust God and call on Him, He will always make a way for you.

Give all your love to God and keep His Word in your life. God keeps His promises when we obey Him with all our heart. As it was written in the Bible, disobedience comes with dark consequences.

I realized this the hard way. I remember God’s soft whisper in my heart when he asked me: “Write for me. Write about me.” I go: “Me? Who am I to speak your words, God? I’m scared I’d say the wrong things.” God didn’t force me and waited. Until I forgot about His request.

As I begin to obey Him little by little, God blessed me with a child. I had to leave the corporate world and be a mom. I went my own way but life has been so dark. The enemy attacked my family, finances and inflicted me with Post Partum Depression.

The darkness almost took my life. I cried to God and He healed me. God took me back to His church and when He gave me a chance to be a blogger, I remembered His request. God divinely interrupted me by blessing me with my child.

God spoke to me through the Pastor’s preaching when he quoted God’s Word:

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

God encouraged me with his Grace! And so I happily write for God and about God to you now.

Always talk to God. Keep a prayer time to give praise and thanks. Repent and ask for forgiveness. Humbly talk to God heart to heart about your needs and desires, as long as it is aligned with His will for you, God will fulfill it for you in His perfect time.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”(1 John 5:14)

When you follow God’s Word, He will always answer your prayers according to His plan and for your highest good.

“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7).

5.Seek guidance.

Continue to live by God’s Word no matter how challenging it may be. The Holy Spirit of God will help us do the right thing. God will answer you through the Bible or through the preaching at the Church.

“As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.” (2 Thessalonians 3:13).

Once you hear God’s whisper calling you to use your skills, talents, do good and share His Word, pray for God’s guidance and wisdom.

God will speak to you with encouragement and instructions. Just follow and set away your fears. God will make you worthy and qualified to do His task.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5)

When God divinely interrupts you, find delight in faithful obedience. Be excited! He is going to do amazing miracles in your life. Hardships may happen along the way but God will keep you strong to fulfill His plans.

Let’s help each other find our purpose in God. Please Like and Share.
