8 Great Ways to keep Happiness as an Empath

Keeping happiness is very important to our well being, of our loved ones, the people around us (okay, the world).

When we are happy, we become powerful to share more love to everyone.

Choosing to always be happy in most circumstances as much as we can could be hard. Maybe. But not impossible.

As vibrational beings, we all have positive energy in us and a great part of being happy is keeping our positive energy only to ourselves.

So as the saying goes, never let anyone steal your joy and always leave some positivity for yourself while we uplift others with us.

As much as I’ve become a happier unicorn now, there are very few quite less happy days at times.

Especially when others’ emotions and energies take a toll on me.

Oh the joy of being an Empath. Just kidding.

So how do we deal with being an Empath and still be happy? Here’s how:

1. Grounding.

My first thought about grounding was: “what?” “I have to stay in my room forever? Like a punishment?”

Only when I read further that I realized this meant making yourself energetically and spiritually secure.

This is done by breathing deeply and visualizing your feet as becoming thick strong roots with little roots.

Let these roots grow deeply anchored in the ground. The roots firmly reaching down way below the ground.

Doing this creates a stable energy that cannot be shaken by negativity. You can also try this 10 minute guided grounding meditation.

Another way is to just walk bare foot on grass for 30 minutes. Really feel the grass and ground underneath your feet.

Focusing on the solidness of the surface with our feet helps to feel in touch with our own body, emotion and energy.

2. Shielding.

You can create an invisible barrier to keep your positive energy and deflect other people’s energy away from yours.

Imagine all the negativity like a dark smoke vacuumed away from your body and let it go away from you.

Let the smoke disappear into the light. See yourself filled with bright white light all over and put yourself in a bright white light of bubble.

Here’s an effective Guided Shielding meditation you can do.

3. Sending away.

If you feel a sudden surge of sadness, tiredness or anger, quietly ask these emotion and energies if they are yours.

You would feel a sudden lift from your body confirming it’s somebody else’s.

Send it away peacefully through your mind. Afterwards, send in as much love and the brightest white light to yourself and everyone where you are.

4. Recharge.

Spend a few minutes by yourself. Do something that makes you happy. Put your headphones on and listen to your favorite positive music. Read a good book.

Watch fave music artists or comedians because feeling inspired and laughter are so good vibes.

5. Choose people and social media newsfeed.

Spend more time being with grateful, inspiring, creative, successful, abundant, loving and kind people.

Stay away from too much News and drama on tv and avoid horror movies. Fill your social media with happy people.

Find an inspirational and successful person to tune into. I highly recommend watching Kathrin Zenkina, Tony Robbins, Gabriel Bernstein and Abraham Hicks on YouTube.

These people have the kind of vibe that uplifts your mind and soul. They are life changing.

6. Always be Kind.

Everyone is in their own journey and if life lessons aren’t enough, the least we can do is to be compassionate with one another.

We can always be courteous or just let others be. We can always pray for others to overcome anything that they might be going through and send loving thoughts their way.

When we are kind we break and interrupt the bad energy. Send peace, happiness and all good wishes to others.

Smile or be encouraging. Share. When you make people feel good around you, it fills you up too.

7. Identify mindfully.

Know the people who drain you out and spend less time and proximity with them.

Keep busy, focused and excited with blissful hobbies or meaningful goals.

8. Detach.

Sometimes there’s nothing else we can do than just listen, give comfort and be encouraging. Life is too beautiful and precious to be drained by sad stories.

At the end of the day, we all go through our own journey. Truth is, pain and struggles are necessary for growth.

It is up to all of us how we process our life lessons.

As an Empath, I really can’t help but care and help out. Especially when I felt an emotional connection with my loved ones.

I would be doing most of the chores just to let people around me rest. By the time I go to my room, I’m too exhausted to clean my own room or write my novel. I’d be left feeling regret.

I figured I could do this emotional cord cutting and yes, sometimes it is for my highest good to not care too much.

Cord cutting is the act of removing any emotional connection between others and yourself.

This way you won’t be bothered by others’ actions to you that much. It is best to do this through this Cord Cutting Guided meditation.

As Shakespeare puts it, “To be or not to be? That is the question. I say to be. Yes to being a powerfully compassionate Empath!

It means we can transform emotions and energies into positivity. It is a gift of being able to make negativity disappear into the light.

There is power in weakness.

What used to break me is now teaching me to be compassionate.

To all of us out there, now that we have these steps to keep our happiness, we can fully serve the world at our best in our own simple ways.

What would you be up to this National Hat Day?

Why and how to celebrate it?

If ever you’re wondering about these things, I’m here to share some enlightenment with you.

Flashback to 3,000 BC, the first hat appeared on a mural of a tomb in Thebes. A man on the mural wore a straw hat.

Since then hats are worn for different reasons – protection, social status and religious rites.

Hats have evolved as part of fashion and self-expression.

The National Hat Day has become a holiday every January 15.

No one knows who started this holiday for hats. Even so, I still love National Hat Day anyway.

Why wouldn’t I? I love hats! I’m a hat person (No pun-intended). Wearing comfy, cute and stylish hats make me happy.

Are you a hat-lover too? Who’s with me? Raise your hats! Join me in this hat filled moment.

Here’s the deal, the National Hat Day is for wearing hats! So take out your fancy, cute, rare, weird or crazy hats out of the closet.

Wear them all throughout the day and have different hats for every selfie.

You can go as far as having a groupfie with all of your friends or loved ones wearing hats.

Maybe give hats as a gift or discover your hat style here.

Plot twist on a deeper level, wearing hats on National Hat Day means honoring and being grateful of our head and mind – our consciousness.

Since our head is where the Crown Chakra is, what perfect way to celebrate National Hat day than to activate, balance and cleanse it.

Chakra is a center of swirling energy or energy wheel in our body.

It is the center of bodily process, thoughts and emotions.

The Crown Chakra is the energy center for happiness, trust, positivity, creativity or inspiration, inner self, devotion and Divine connection.

In celebration of National Hat Day, these steps are to activate, balance and cleanse your Crown Chakra:

1.Put your Mozart on.

Listen to Classical music by Mozart. Studies proved that classical music increases intelligence and creativity.

Under a powerful microscope or tool, frozen water exposed to such genre turned into snowflake like structures.

True enough, I wrote more poetry and finished writing my first Fantasy novel while Mozart’s music played in the background.

Listening to his classical pieces helps to activate your Crown Chakra with creative inspiration.

2. Live out your Artsy-ness.

Do some coloring or painting. You can also look at beautiful masterpieces in an Art Gallery or Art website.

This activates your Crown Chakra by increasing creativity and happiness.

3. Bookworm your way to inspiration and self development.

Read books like “The Secret,” “The Magic,” and “The Power” (Rhonda Byrnes), “ChickenSoup for the Soul” (Jack Canfield), The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey) and “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” (T.Harv Eker).

This will activate your Crown Chakra with wisdom.

4. Splash in some Violet in your Style.

Wear a violet hat, clothes or shoes. This is the color of the Crown Chakra. Wearing  violet helps in activating and balancing it. 

5. Clear out with Crystals.

Close your eyes and hold an amethyst or clear quartz crystal. Listen and follow through a Chakra cleansing guided meditation.

Now that you have your awesome hat on and your Crown Chakra in a blissful state with these steps, you’ll be more guided with your intuition, ideas, wisdom and creative inspiration.

Feel at peace that the Universe is always supporting you in your journey to happiness, love, health and abundance.

Choose your thoughts well. Be mindful to only think and feel gratitude, happiness and love.

The Universe will give more of these to you.

Are you ready for 2018? How does the coming New Year makes you feel?

The New Year brings me so much hope, excitement, happiness and gratitude. I feel hopeful because the coming year is a brand new start.

This 2018 is a chance to make the best out of life. It is a blank canvass where I can put in colorful moments, wisdom, love and inspiration.

I’m grateful for the New Year because I’m given the opportunity to turn my life into a masterpiece.

This New Year is the perfect time to really become the best version of myself.

It fills me with cheerful anticipation of living the best life that is meant for me.

I know having the best life lets me become more open to receive and share great blessings to everyone.

I’m thankfully trusting, surrendering and expectant of having all of my desires and blessings. And no, it doesn’t make anyone selfish or greedy at all to look forward to greater blessings and graciously receive them.

Learning to become a thankful and good receiver of financial and material abundance can give us more means to be more giving.

We live in an abundant and limitless Universe after all.

I believe being grateful and looking forward to receiving good things is a great way to enjoy life. When we are happy, we are able to make life blissful for others too.

Tony Robbins talked about Primary question and mainly it says, life gives you what you always ask for.

So, are you asking and looking for things which will make you happy and abundant or are you subconsciously looking for events that will piss you off and make you broke?

I’d rather choose to ask and look forward to more blessings.

Change your life story into the reality you’d love.

Simply be more mindful of the primary questions you subconsciously ask about your everyday life.

My dear readers, I have to tell you how I’m filled with happiness this New Year. This is because I have never been more connected to the Universe than ever before.

I know that all my needs and desires are already given. I’m at peace and in full trust that every circumstance happens for my highest good.

I wouldn’t be here serving the world through this happiness and Law of Attraction blog if I haven’t had an emotional breakdown as a new mother.

This New Year just made me cry tears of joy and gratitude, all the days of my entire lifetime I am divinely blessed.

Every single day is a choice to be happy so why not keep choosing happiness for a year? How about choosing to be happy for life? Better yet forever?

Ever wonder why some people are happier than others? Tell you what, it’s not about the material possession, degree, finances, fame or looks.

Happiness has everything to do with a positive mindset.What sets happy, healthy, abundant, successful people apart from others is they are always aligned with positivity, gratitude, kindness, forgiveness, love, receiving and giving.

So being the blissful blogger that I am, I’m more than happy to share how you can have a blissful year.

1.Be Real with Yourself.

Take time to really listen and speak to yourself. Wake up and go on a self development journey.

Do this for yourself because you deserve the most epic blissful life ever.

Take time to look at your current life and reinvent it towards your higher best self. What are the positive changes you’re determined to make this coming New Year?

What made you decide to make these changes? How determined are you to follow through these?

Describe your highest best self. How does your best self live? How does he or she act, speak, think and feel like?

What actions are you going to take to be that higher best self?

Do those actions. Start being your best self from now on.

The clearer, specific and time bound you are in answering these, the better chance of following through your self development journey.

You can keep a journal for this to stay aware and mindful of your progress.

Alternatively, you can keep an audio or short video journal or a personal blog.

Write or just talk about everything you’re grateful for, the steps you’ve succeeded doing, things you aim for and lessons learned in certain circumstances.

2.Spark and Spice it Up.

Expand your talents, knowledge and skills. Learning something new makes life more exciting, productive and meaningful.

Fill up your life with good experiences.

Keep busy and make no space for negativity.

Find something positive that peaks your interest and lights you up.

Try a new online game, art craft, language, cuisine, musical instrument, writing style, fashion, healthy diet, exercise, dance genre, yoga, meditation, running, metaphysics, travel locations, cooking, read inspiring self development books, knitting, crocheting, sewing, graphic designing, music mixing, photography, blogging, web design, watch insightful or fun movies and tv shows.

Mix and match these new skills and create something unique. Squeeze in 10 minutes or more trying out these positive hobbies.

After developing talents, skills and knowledge, now what?

Time to give back. Use these newly acquired gifts to help out others. Volunteer or turn these skills into a money making part time gig or business.

Either as a host, dj, event organizer, costume designer, dance or work out instructor, freelance writer, events photographer or musical performer.

Having expertise to share helps you find purpose.Serving that purpose is a life well  lived with happiness.

3.Reinvent Yourself with a New Year’s Resolution.

Turn that wishful thinking into a self challenge for fun!

Just an example, if you intend to save more money as your New Year’s resolution, be specific on the amount of money you want to save by the end of the year.

Decide on where you will use the money you will save up. List 5 steps you can do to achieve it.

Set up a reward for yourself when you achieve your goal. You can think of a name for your resolution like “Money Saving Challenge.”

Every day or every week, you can create a live video, blog or post a photo status on your Facebook, Instagram or other social media you have.

Show up for yourself and post the action you’ve taken to save money. Even better if you can create a Facebook group.

Have your like-minded positive friends and family to join in on the challenge.

This will help you be more accountable in keeping your New Year’s resolution.

You end up richer, fulfilled and you get to keep a memory of the challenge you’ve completed.

Whenever it feels like you just want to give up and be your old less happy and less abundant self, see yourself succeeding.

Really feel thankful and happy for fulfilling your New Year’s resolution.

Rest for just one day and pick yourself up again. Carry on with your Money Saving Challenge.

Read biographies of successful people and watch inspiring videos like Kathrin Zenkina, Tony Robbins, Gabriel (Gabby Bernstein) and Abraham Hicks.

Succeeding with your resolution only sets you up to really changing your life for greater things.

This New Year, you deserve to look back with pride, happiness, gratitude and fulfillment. You’ve made it this far.

Be thankful and celebrate all your blessings and winnings – simple and grand.

Give yourself a congratulatory hug, a victory pose or maybe a victory dance? By yourself, maybe?
